#Brent #SP500 The stock market is all about Risk vs Reward but we didn’t think war could employ similar rules. Currently, Iran appears to have working on how many missiles and drones do they need fire to provoke a change in the price of Crude. It appears the weekend gave them an answer, tossing a few hundred weapons both at maritime and land based targets, successfully provoked an initial 3 dollar gain in the price of crude. Doubtless, the nice folk with their pocket calculators can immediate work out how many new weapons can be purchased for their next assault on the oil price.
To judge by market Futures, world indices don’t currently appear terrorised by Iran’s behaviour, prices heading a bit downward in a motion which feels more like they are acknowledging what happened, rather than running in circles doing headless chicken impersonations. In fact, both UK Crude and US Crude are manoeuvring in a zone which could easily see sharp reversal to 2020 price levels, essentially $57 and $49 respectively. Of course, in this day and age, we’d bet “they” shrink the barrel sizes!
Barclays share price, in line with our report three weeks ago, the share price achieved closure at 529p, just above our initial target of 528p and sufficient to assure we’re following the correct trend. From our perspective, this now means movements above 531p should promote a visit to 584p next with our longer term secondary, if beaten, at a future 610p and almost certain hesitation.
Unfortunately, there’s the risk the share price shall enter the “slow down” dance generated by events in the Middle East. This being the case, below Blue – presently 497p) risks triggering reversal to an initial 477 with our secondary, if broken, at 459p and a potential bounce.
It’s fingers crossed time…

SUCCESS above means both FAST & SLOW targets were met. ‘CESS means just the FAST target met and probably the next time it is exceeded, movement to the SLOW target shall commence.

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. Our website is www.trendsandtargets.com.
UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
