Trends and Targets for 17/07/2018

Hewden Joinery (LSE:HWDN) #NASDAQ #GOLD  It can often prove a little irritating, replying to folks asking us about share movement potentials and being forced to frame our language carefully, when faced with a share price where a company is clearly treating “investors” as their private piggy bank. It appears the market views Hewden quite differently though and presumably they have a cabinet stronger than Mrs Mays…

The price recently achieved some all time highs and on several occasions has managed actually close sessions beyond the levels of 2015 and 2016. By any standards – especially given tentative movements currently amongst many popular shares – Hewden Joinery with Higher Highs is regarded as a good thing. Hopefully they’re not liable to be damaged by the current lack of Brexit agreements.

The immediate situation for Hewden share price is of growth now bettering 542 looks capable of troubling an initial 609p next. We would anticipate some stutters around such a point but closure beyond 609p allows us to mention a longer term 683p. Though it might be 721p! The reason for this absurd inability to provide a ‘maximum’ price is the circled gap in price moves during 2016. This has thrown a chisel in the works, creating a yet unresolved conundrum in our results.

It’s important to mention we cannot calculate beyond 721p. This does not mean the price can go no higher, it just suggests a point in the future where some sort of hesitation becomes probable until sufficient force generated to allow higher traffic.

Thankfully, it appears fairly easy to identify a major danger level and it’s at 444p and the thick RED line. Moves below this level allow for 300p initially with secondary 264p.

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. Our website is www.trendsandtargets.com.

UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
