#Gold #SP500 As a country, France knows a thing or two about chaotic movements, as witnessed by those with sufficient patience to watch what was probably the worst opening ceremony in Olympic history. We decided to do something more interesting, therefore missing the part which got the internet in an uproar, but there was a distinct feeling if the organisers were trying to save money, they should have looked at the opening titles from Je Sans Frontieres back in the Jurassic period which ended in 1999. It’s a pity, because the original “It’s A Knockout” theme of pitting town against town, city against city, was deliberately funny, a notion the international version adhered to. But the opening ceremony of the games managed to embrace irony, little realising the international ridicule about to be heaped on France. Just what was Lady GaGa, a usually astounding live singer, doing lip syncing to the world?
For instance, the idea of various boats carrying national teams had some merit but it would have been more amusing, if other teams on the shore were trying to hit them with water cannon, big balls, or if all else fails, trebuchets. Such a concept would have saved me from doing some gardening.
Anyway, the four year festival of cheap broadcasting for TV has commenced, TV stations fulfilling their licence requirements and not worrying about viewer figures as they are not suffering production costs. It can be guessed our household are not fans of the games, football, rugby, tennis, or whatever other garbage reality is being hyped as watchable. Until the last 4 F1 races, even motorsport had found itself hanging on a shoogly hook (Scottish term for a screw hook wound into plasterboard)…
Air France share price is also looking like it may be on a “shoogly hook”, somehow managing to look more dangerous than IAG (aka British Airways etc), the airlines price movements looking less choreographed than its parent country’s Olympic ceremony. Last year, the company share price firmly exceeded their pre-pandemic 10 Euro level, making it appear good times were ahead. Instead, the share price feels like it may be moving in concert with France’s internal issues and this being the case, we should now anticipate the worst. We’ve actually got two pretty strong arguments favouring our conclusion, hence being a little emphatic about it.
Next below 7.75€ suggests coming weakness in Air France down to 6.74 and hopefully a bounce. The 6.74€ level is a bit of a problem as it’s difficult to calculate below such a level. We obviously did a little work and came up with a secondary at 4.3 Euro but we don’t entirely trust this concept. Essentially the two arguments favouring 6.74 do not currently leave the potential for anything below such a level.

SUCCESS above means both FAST & SLOW targets were met. ‘CESS means just the FAST target met and probably the next time it is exceeded, movement to the SLOW target shall commence.

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. Our website is www.trendsandtargets.com.
UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
