Trends and Targets for 13/07/2018

#FTSE FOR FRIDAY & GULF KEYSTONE (FTSE:UKX & #GKP) #DAX #NK225 We’re very temporarily down one of the team, due to his recent acquisition of a cheap garden tractor. Apparently life is not complete unless you accessorise such a purchase with an Arc Welding kit, something never before used.

“Welding Flash” is a thing and as the bloke concerned abhors writing about GKP, we’re now able to headline it! It is probable his effort to attach a grass vacuum to a baby tractor will be documented in the future, once he stops blinking furiously.

Firstly, Gulf Keystone are taking an unusual approach to their share price as some effort appears made to drive it upward. The current situation expects movement above 272 to target somewhere around 295 next. If bettered, our secondary calculates just above the 340 mark. To provoke panic, the share requires slither below 200p – RED on the chart.

FTSE For Friday This week has been an utterly fruitcake one with values traded through the exchange almost half of a month ago yet the market has staggered around with drunken flamboyance. Perhaps it’s a world cup thing and thus, hopefully over. However, the FTSE now need only exceed 7673 points and we shall view it as heading to 7704 points next. Secondary, if bettered, calculates at 7751 points. If triggered, stop can be 7590 points.

The flip side of the coin is lurking around 7537 points as weakness below this point is liable to prove interesting with an initial drop target at 7496 points. And if broken, it could easily continue downhill to 7425 points. If triggered, the narrowest stop is actually pretty vivid at 7629 points.

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. Our website is www.trendsandtargets.com.

UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
