As we’d hoped, the Spanish Grand Prix indeed provided an entertaining race and the new(ish) guy – Antonelli- delivered a race which must make Verstappen realise he’ll never be one of the “greats”, unable to equal or beat the Schumacher & Hamilton count of victories. Perversely, this is liable to produce more entertainment in future races as Verstappen rarely performs fairly when under pressure. But Barclays bank shares are certainly showing considerable cool, despite the pressure of its Blue downtrend since 2007, a trend line which has no business in effecting share prices, aside from the fact it clearly is.
The most recent three weeks has seen Barclays share price adhere to the Blue line as if it were important! This is proving a little confusing as the chart extract below highlights.

This 19 year trend line shuffle is a bit mad but, if we apply our conventional criteria, it’s apparently the share were future weakness below 484p now risks triggering reversal to an initial 475p with our secondary, if broken, a potential bottom of 453p. Hopefully achieving such a level shall also prove capable of generating a bounce.
But on a brighter note, above 500p should now trigger gains to an initial 512p with our secondary, if exceeded, calculating at a future 525p and almost certain hesitation. Things shall only become exciting in the event the share closes above 525p, strongly suggesting a breakaway from “safe” harbour of the Blue trend line has commenced as a future ambition at 564p has commenced.

SUCCESS above means both FAST & SLOW targets were met. ‘CESS means just the FAST target met and probably the next time it is exceeded, movement to the SLOW target shall commence.

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. Our website is www.trendsandtargets.com.
UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
