Georgina Energy Plc (LSE:GEX) was trading around 13.75 at the time of writing.

#Gold #Dax Hopefully this is our final grumble about Argyll’s weather for August. The annual monsoon has arrived, delivering what feels like a month’s worth of rain in the space of an hour, accompanied by 60mph winds, temperatures dropping to 11°C, and a garden waterfall that sounds like an F-35 making a vertical take-off. In other words, here in our corner of Scotland, the weather is dreadful, though at least it remains reassuringly predictable. If the usual pattern holds, the final couple of weeks of August should be reasonably pleasant before September ushers in autumn with a proper cold snap.

Of greater irritation, perhaps, is knowing pushing the magic button to retract the mechanical roof of the VW shall be a rare event for the rest of the year! It would be accurate to admit this £1,500 car (for the dogs to ruin) still rates as one of the most fun vehicles ever owned. Needless to say, it is being properly maintained as a “keeper”.

Our predictive abilities also appear to apply to Georgina Energy Plc. We reviewed their share price potentials a couple of months ago, giving a couple of target levels, both of which have now been achieved. The next big deal demands the share price CLOSE a session above 13.8p but so far, movements have proven a bit reticent, the highest closing price being 13.75p.  From our perspective, missing target by just 0.05p is actually a big deal, a suggestion the market isn’t yet ready to allow the share price to fly solo. However, intraday traffic (not the closing price) allowed for the share price to exceed our 13.8p twice in the last week, so perhaps there is room for optimism.

It’s certainly now the case where movement above 14.8p shall be seen as triggering travel to an initial 15.8p with our secondary, if beaten, at 19.5p. These are fairly significant ambitions, launching the share price into a zone where a future 33p shall be viewed as exerting a distant attraction.

Of course, there is always a downside scenario. A fall below 11.5p would increase the risk of a retreat towards an initial target at 8p. Should that level fail to hold, our secondary support lies at around 5.7p, where we would expect a more substantial “bouncy bottom” to emerge.

SUCCESS above means both FAST & SLOW targets were met. ‘CESS means just the FAST target met and probably the next time it is exceeded, movement to the SLOW target shall commence.

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. Our website is www.trendsandtargets.com.

UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
