We previously reviewed Anglo American back in 2023, when the price was “just” 1970p. In the intervening period, the price obviously achieved our upward targets and we forgot our intention of revisiting the company share value. And so, it has now more than doubled, a solid share above 40 quid and one which urgently needs an update as further positive potentials seem to be present.
We spent a while, surfing through AAL’s website, as always left in awe of the companies reach and operations. While they’ve embraced all the right buzzwords to establish their “green” credentials, it was a pleasure to notice AI – Artificial Intelligence – is missing from the blurb, perhaps an indicator of something thinking adding any mention of this would be over-seasoning an already impressive picture of success. And of course, we delved into Wikipedia as it’s usually a reasonable source of negative gossip, relating a decent number of scandals against long established companies such as Anglo American, a company born in 1917 in Jo’burg, South Africa.
It looks like above 4,240p should next provide a trigger point, one capable of promoting gains toward an initial 4,424p with our secondary, if bettered, calculating at 4,496p. However, it’s important we mention closure above 4,424p shall prove important from a Big Picture perspective, launching the share price into a zone where a future 5,055p works out as possible. This would indicate the possibility of a new All Time High waiting in the distant future.
Should things intend go wrong, the share price needs below 3,470p to risk triggering reversal to an initial 2,948p with our secondary, if broken, at a potential bottom of 2,517p.
We think this shall prove worth watching, if not intimidated by the 40 quid plus price tag!

SUCCESS above means both FAST & SLOW targets were met. ‘CESS means just the FAST target met and probably the next time it is exceeded, movement to the SLOW target shall commence.

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
