It appears possible the UK Government could make a substantial dent in funds, if they’d simply install a “False Statement” jar, something akin to a swear jar. After years of claiming their “green” attitude to North Sea oil didn’t really matter as the UK’s (claimed as rapidly diminishing)<\/i> reserves had no effect on energy security, their song has changed lyrics. Now, approving the Jackdaw field has been declared essential for Energy Security in the UK, causing ‘green biased’ politicians to scream louder than at any attempt to reduce their private jet use… The entire nation feels their pain at globetrotting to visit environmental conferences in exotic location with 5 star venues.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next major decision is the Rosebank field with Ithaca Energy<\/b> making it clear they shall reduce UK investment, if the Government adheres to green dogma by further delaying approval for Ithaca to commence oil extraction. With the Jackdaw field now approved, there’s certainly good reason to hope Rosebank shall make its way into production, though ‘obviously’ do nothing for UK energy security if previous political statements from the folk claiming Net Zero is important were truthful.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is certainly something attractive about a ‘Politician Jar’, magnitudes better than a ‘Swear Jar’ as it would allow folk at Westminster to contribute for the good of the nation! It can be safely assumed we still hold politicians in higher regard than sewage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ithaca’s<\/b> share price movements this year are proving promising, recent higher highs giving a reasonable amount of hope for the longer term. It’s now the case where movement above 308p should next trigger further growth to an initial 323p with our secondary, if bettered, at a future 360p. Of course, in current market conditions, there’s a fair chance any rise shall stumble around 345p, simply due to the markets not behaving with full commitment. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the unlikely visual event of Ithaca Energy <\/b>share price misbehaving, the share price needs drill below 265 (Red) as this risks promoting reversal to an initial 238p with our secondary, if broken, at 226p and a strong potential for a bounce. But should such a level be broken, we can unfortunately calculate a third drop level at 167p, along with a convincing argument as a bottom.<\/span><\/p>\n
