Marina’s everywhere have a corner where junk piles up, generally awaiting a surprise bonfire once folk have picked everything clean. Our local marina here in Argyll is no different, except the sight of a 40 foot vessel dumped on its side was something of a show stopper. Locally, or so the gossip goes, the owner was financially wiped out in the 2009 market crash, vanishing and leaving the vessel behind in the middle of a major engine replacement. Seventeen years later, the boat has been scrapped as an uneconomical repair, lawyers having apparently extracted every possible fee.<\/p>\n

It’s a sad sight.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

However, not everything hit by 2009 has failed to recover. Legal & General has resurfaced from their 25p low, now offering the highest dividend yield (7.1%)\u00a0 of the entire FTSE 100. Additionally, their share price is skirting with the concept of achieving a new all time high!<\/p>\n

According to our calculations, the situation now suggests movement above 317p should prove capable of triggering a further lift to an initial 328p with our secondary, if bettered, working out at a future 364p. Overall, we are being encouraged to below the share price is now sailing in a zone, where a distant long term 412p is exerting an attraction!<\/p>\n

Should the market decide to foul things up slightly, below 285 would be regarded as an early signal for trouble, warning of the risk for reversal to 273 with our secondary, if such a level is punctured, bringing the threat of a probable bottom at 255p.<\/p>\n

For now, we are inclined toward hope for the future, something sadly lacking for that impressive looking gin palace boat.<\/p>\n
