#Gold #Nasdaq My wife works for a corporate and decided she’d spend August working from home, principally due to knowing her offices would be mostly empty for the month. The pile of electronics (and a new office desk) has been assembled, allowing her to create a “wife cave” with secure communication through our already secure network. But the point of the story was quite a surprise. Habitually, completing our outlook for market futures is an excuse to make the 2nd latte of the day, along with a bacon roll. Smoked Back Bacon is allowed on Mondays and Fridays, perhaps a safe ration by NHS standards.\u00a0 Needless to say, our Monday after work reward had a couple of extra rashers of bacon thrown into the Ninja cooker, along with a couple of slices of toasted bread.<\/p>\n
Long story short, interrupting wifes video call by sliding a plate with toast and bacon within reach proved hilarious, the immediate response being a chant of “I’ve got bacon!” to make her video colleague in New York jealous.\u00a0 Apparently, by the end of the day, “legend” status was bestowed upon me, due to my wife being the only person with an in-house slave! And once my wife shut down her Cisco unit, it seems the best food ever is unexpected food. But on Friday, if I fail to serve bacon sandwiches, the world will end!<\/p>\n
It was all quite strange, finally a benefit of my habit of working 24 hours a day, rather than my wifes rigid 8 (ish) hour days. I do a few hours on the markets, off for a few hours, run experiments for a few hours, nap for 90 minutes, run more test scenarios, then cut the grass or do a dog walk, and finally catch the closing numbers for the FTSE and load them into our software. And then, we try and figure out what’s hot or what’s not. But now, there’s an order to provide bacon around 10am on Mondays and Fridays too. Stress comes from really odd angles… It is going to be interesting in a couple of weeks, when bacon is switched out for heavenly ‘Brie and Pineapple’ as the spread on toast. It’s fairly certain 2 people suddenly working from home will create some surprise discussions. We dare not consider the toilet seat position, during market trading hours!!!<\/p>\n
We’ve trawled through the history of Diploma Plc, looking for the usual juicy stories. Unfortunately – from our salacious point of view – there are none, the Wikipedia page proving to be quite boring, a presentation unsullied by anyone with an axe to grind. For example, the final paragraph on their Wiki page reads;<\/p>\n
“Diploma is a distributor, operating in the three sectors of Controls (including specialised wiring), Seals (including seals and gaskets) and Life Sciences (including consumables and instrumentation)” This is about as anti-septic as it gets, so perhaps some good times should be ahead for Diploma Plc. There are not even accusations of staff sneaking the odd bacon roll! Maybe we should take a positive stance on their share price future potentials?<\/p>\n
Currently, it seems above 7490p should trigger share price recovery to an initial 7812p. If bettered, our longer term secondary works out at a future 7912p,\u00a0 This is all quite a big deal, indicating the potential of All Time Highs but we run out of fingers, if being asked to count above 7912p. Should the market intend exceed this level, we should therefore anticipate the share price being “gapped” up at the open in the days ahead, an absurd notion but one which often proves quite accurate. Should the market opt to gift the share price with opening second gaps, it becomes probable a future intention above 7912p is expected.<\/p>\n
And finally, one of my dog walking chums sought me out on Monday, wanting to ask “What’s Wrong?”. She’d picked up my writing style had changed over the last week, this being due to running articles “through” ChatGpt and accepting its improvements to make the writing style smoother and more professional. Needless to say, AI has now been ditched, a friend noticing (and complaining) about the change being something worth paying attention to. As as result, our dodgy grammar shall remain and anyone who does not like it can go visit a duck.<\/p>\n
