ASCENT RES. LSE:ASC #DAX #CAC40 <\/b><\/span> We never start to be amazed at the kindness of the markets. Last time we covered #Ascent, we’d given an ultimate bottom target of 0.9p and since April, the share has mostly stayed around this point, a level we cannot calculate below.<\/span><\/p>\n

And then, one day, the wolf knocked on the door…<\/span><\/p>\n

On rather a few occasions, prior to any form of “miracle” recovery, the market opts for a final death plunge. Basically put, this is doubtless designed to scare the pants off private traders, forcing them to panic sell while there is still a chance of getting some money back. We’re left with a suspicion the drop on August 6th was one of these ‘new underpants’ moments as the recovery since has proven fairly interesting. Without doubt, all the folk who bailed as the price approached 0.3p are laughing all the way to the coronary unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

The situation now is of movement above 0.98 apparently being capable of some recovery to 1.25p. A BLUE downtrend since the start of last year has highlighted a fairly obvious trend and suggests achieving 1.25 shall bonk against this line anytime soon. Only with closure above 1.3 will we dare speculate a longer term cycle toward 2.26p has probably commenced.<\/span><\/p>\n

One final aspect of BLUE. With closure above this line, calculations which currently give an ultimate drop target prefaced with a minus sign become null and void.<\/span><\/p>\n
