Trends and Targets for 24/07/2018

Alba Minerals (LSE:ALBA) #GOLD #NASDAQ Despite it being the holiday season, it appears some masochists are still interested in shares with a couple of mails received asking us to take a look at Alba and their future price potentials. Despite the Scottish sounding name, the future looks interesting for them.

The immediate situation is fairly straightforward. As the chart below highlights, the share price has broken the trend, though not yet achieving the nirvana of a “higher high”. Essentially, once a price starts trade higher than a peak which formed a trend, it becomes difficult to restrain growth.

In the event of movement now above 0.64p, it appears the price should find a path toward 0.81p next. Better still, if such a level is exceeded, a future at 1.18p becomes quite believable. Further, this launches the price solidly above the immediate trend giving some considerable hope for the longer term. We would, however, prefer run the numbers again should 1.18 make an appearance.

If trouble is coming, unfortunately the only sane indicator will be weakness now below 0.2p (RED) as we are completely unable to calculate a point below such a level.

SUCCESS above means both FAST & SLOW targets were met. ‘CESS means just the FAST target met and probably the next time it is exceeded, movement to the SLOW target shall commence.

Our commentary is in two sections. Immediately below are today’s updated comments. If our commentary remains valid, the share can be found in the bottom section which has a RED heading. Hopefully, this will mean you no longer need to flip back through previous reports. HYPERLINKS DISABLED IN THIS VERSION

Please remember, all prices are mid-price (halfway between the Buy and Sell). When we refer to a price CLOSING above a specific level, we are viewing the point where we can regard a trend as changing. Otherwise, we are simply speculating on near term trading targets. Our website is www.trendsandtargets.com.

UPDATE. We often give an initial and a secondary price. If the initial is exceeded, we still expect it to fall back but the next time the initial is bettered, the price should continue to the secondary. The converse it true with price drops.
